Critics of Jehovah`s Witnesses/working for homosexuals and accepting charity

Question
Both my sister and husband are landscapers. In the past three years their main clients have been homosexual couples. I asked how this was o.k. because I know their doctrines regarding homosexuality. Please keep in mind it is their choice, they are self employed. They live in an area which is economically troubled(very agricultural) but has some second home owners from New York City so while working for these people is certainly convenient with some effort they could find other clients. They might have to travel to find work. They say we are in the world not of the world and if there is hardship they can overlook their beliefs. They also accepted charity money from a hospital. I mentioned it was probably important to know if monies came from a catholic charity. Said didn't need to inquire and wanted to quote scripture to me. Really didn't want to go there. Just figured they could work out a payment plan with the hospital or use a credit card. But, I guess free money is better. Seems hypocritical to me. Any thoughts or response greatly appreciated. Sasha

Answer
Firstly working for homosexuals. I don't think that would conflict with their beliefs. They are providing a service to people and as such would have to treat all as customers. Would they not work for a couple man and woman who were not married, but living together. This is also wrong in JW teaching. If they refused to work for homosexuals, then they would have to do it also for those who lived  together not married.

I understand the your thinking on the charity aspect. The JWs are quick to accept charity, even if it was from a Catholic organisation.
But would reject any idea of contributing to that charity, saying it would be giving to another religion.
It is an example of their double standards in some things.
Please feel free to ask if you need more information.
