Question
do Jehovahs witnesses have any dietry requirements within their religion

Answer
There are many religions that have some form of dietry requiements, and JWs have but one no no "law" and one principle to adhear to.

JWs are not to eat anything that has blood in it. That is food that has been manufacture with blood as an ingredient such as blood sausage. Nor are we to eat any meat that has not been bleed prperply.  As long as the animal has been bleed at death by say cutting the through and letting the blood flow freely away.  Minor amounts of bllod left in ana aninmal are not of any real concern

The other is to eat in moderation not being gluttonus or over in dulgent in alchohol.  Ther is not rule stipulationg what is a glutton nor what is over drinking (except for perhaps what the law of the land might consider a "legal limit" for alcohol.).  It is easy to tell extreems of actions.  We all know how to tell when some in os off thier face with alcohol, but at what point is one considered drunk varies from pewrson to person. So a JW would be carefull not to give the impression that they are gluttons of given to too much wine. (An habbitual drunk can be excommunicated from the group)

Other then that we can eat what we please as recorded for us at Matt 15:11 "11 Not what enters into [his] mouth defiles a man; but it is what proceeds out of [his] mouth that defiles a man.”" and we must also consider the consience of others 1 Cor. 10:23, 24 "23 All things are lawful; but not all things are advantageous. All things are lawful; but not all things build up. 24 Let each one keep seeking, not his own [advantage], but that of the other person."

PLEASE NOTE. I am one of Jehovahs Witnesses. Most here are not JWs and do not always give the full story but tend to be very biassed against JWs and their answers show that. I can answer all questions dealing with the beleifs of Jehovah`s Witnesses and their New World Translation Bible. I an on this particular site to give a balancing argument to the critics. As a JW, I find it frustarting when wrong and misleading information is presented by apposers of JWs. So if you have asked a question of one of the critics and want a balancing answer then ask me the same question. That way you can make up your mind based on a balanced understnading.

Experience

I have been a publisher since 1964. When I first went on the internet I found a lot of negative information dealing with Jehovh's Witnesses covering prophecy, mind controll and what many said was a very bad translation of the Bible known as the NWT. It shook my faith. After may hours researeching these topics I could see why some felt that way, but, I was also able to explain why there were these missleading views. I can now set matters straight for anyone that has negative information about Jehovha's Witness to show them that such information is at best missleading and at worst dangerous lies.
