Question Hello Igor
My wife and I are coming to Croatia next summer for two weeks. However the only time we can come is the last week in July and the first week in August, so we would really like somewhere which is not overrun with tourists - if that is possible!
We have looked at Rovinj, which looks beautiful, but I wonder whether it would be too busy then ...
We are in our early 50's, very active and like the sea, walks, local culture and food and I like to go for a run every morning!
Any suggestions you can make as to where we could stay would be much appreciated
Many thanks
Peter
Answer Hi Peter !
First of all, you will make a good chose if you go to Rovinj (I live 35km from it, in Pula). Rovinj is located in Istria region which is full of very interesting places, things and people.
Rovinj has that old Mediterranean soul, and for people young or old there is something to offer, romantic the most !
Once you arrive in Rovinj, you can pick one day to go to city Pula and to see old roman amphitheater (one best conserved in the world), and very likely to see some big concert in it at that part of the year. It's a small town and you need only 6-8 hours to see it all !!
In Istria interior (away from the sea and tourist crowd) there are plenty of agrotourisam and really excellent food, by my experience one of the best around the globe ! :-)
