I have booked a private villa with 7 of my friends at the beginning of July for one week, in mokosica. we ont to get the most out of our time so could you recommend some bars/clubs for us to visit, also where is the nearest decent beach?

Mokošica is the place situated in the area of the Rijeka Dubrovačka, a bay which used to be the favorite resting-place of Dubrovnik patricians. A modern suburb has been built here in recent time, but you can still see the remnants of various summer houses, the real masterpieces of a refine taste and skilful architecture; the nearby marina is an excellent starting point for the excursions to attractive surroundings.
During the day I suggest you to rent a speed boat in ACI marina Dubrovinik (5 minute from Mokosica). You can call at +385 98 355 554 and ask for mr. Andro. After that you have at your disposal whole aera of Dubrovinik, Elafiti islands (Sipan, Lopud, Lokrum, Jakljan),
and it's really nice to drive a 150hp Zodiac ! :-)
For the night life, you go into city center and search what you find most interesting for you. Dubrovnik area is small and you can walk it from one part to another in less then 20 minutes.
