Croatia - Starigrad and Hvar

Expert: Igor Karasi - 6/28/2008

Question
Hi, i am planning to stay for a week in Starigrad from 17th september. I am just a little worried that it may be too quiet and not enough bars and restaurants open at night. Is this true? Also will things still be open at this time of year in Hvar Town? How easy is it to travel by bus or taxi to and from Starigrad to Hvar Town at night?

Thank you!

Victoria

Answer
The top season in Hvar is from 01.08 till 09.09. but its very live till end of September so you don't have to worry about day&night life.

Starigrad is about 10km from Hvar, there is bus connection but I don't know how regularly it goes. I suggest you to transfer your accommodation in Hvar town cause you will save money and it's much nicer.
