Croatia - Croatia - sleeping on deck

Expert: Igor Karasi - 7/1/2008

Question
Hi Igor.  I have tentatively booked a sail Croatia trip on the 9th August for a week.  The only accommodation available is to sleep on deck for this time.  As I know a couple of girls on this trip (and it is £60 cheaper) do you think this would be ok ie. how hot will it be, will it rain, when does it get light?

Another question, I need to get from Istanbul to Split as cheaply as possible.  I have about 3 days to travel this distance.  What do you recommend?

Many thanks in advance.
Louise

Answer
Hi Louise !
Where you have booked a sail in Croatia ? What company, boat ?
I would not suggest sleeping on deck for 7 days cause the daylight comes at 5.45AM and from 8AM it's very hot ... the wether forecast for this period of year is usually ok, but it can also rain for day, two.

Istanbul to Split is the best way to buy airplane ticket (www.croatiaairlines.hr).
