Croatia/Trip to Croatia

Question
Hello Igor,

We are going to Croatia, me and my sister, in september 23rd and will arrive in Zagreb at noon.

After Zagreb we intend to go to Plitvice Park, on 24th and at the same day to Split. Is there an organized tour for this trip or we can go by bus? do you know where  we can book it in advance?

After Split we would like to go to Brac, Hvar, Korcula and Dubrovnik and spend one day in Mljet.

We are not sure how is the best way to do this trip, spend one day in Split and go by ferry from island to island or go the island for one day and come back to Split and then go to dubrovnik or also spend spend 3/2 nights in Split and go for a day trip to Brac and Trogir and then go to Hvar stay 2 nights there, go to Korcula and then take a ferry to Dubrovnik. Is better to go to Dubrovnik from Korcula by ferry or bus?

Could you advise us the best way to organize it?If you have other suggestion! itīs not easy for us to understand the ferries schedule.

Thanks a lot,

Ale

Answer
Hi Ale,

after arriving in Zagreb go to main bus station http://www.akz.hr/En.htm
and take the bus to Plitvička jezera http://www.adriatica.net/plitvice/plitvice_en.htm
Maybe would be wise to rent-a-car in Zagreb (www.avis.hr) and leave it in Split.

From Split I suggest to go first to Brač, then to Hvar, from Hvar to Korčula and from
Korčula to Mljet. Don't return to Split, it will be much more fun to jump from island
to island. Find accommodation on spot, you don't need to book in advance, there are plenty
of apartments and rooms for one-two night on each island.

For ferry connection and planing go to www.jadrolinija.hr

Dubrovnik is your last destination and from there you can take airplane to Zagreb or anywhere
in Europe. www.croatiaairlines.hr

I wish you nice holidays !

I.
