Question
I will be traveling to Croatia on May 27 for about 10 days-what is a good itinerary and is it best to rent a car and do it ourselves (4 of us), take public transportation, or try to find a driver/guide to take us around for the duration?  We prefer to stay away from tour buses. Is it best to stay in sobe?  What is the best way to get from Croatia (somewhere in the north most likely) to Krakow?  Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hi Kerry,
it is difficult to sugget a god itenirary without knowing your interest. If you into culture I suggest: Dubrovnik, Split, Trogir, Porec, Pula. If you are into nature I suggest the national parks of Croatia like Plitvice, Krka, Kornati. For entertainment hots spots I suggest Hvar, and Novalja. You can see more details on these ldestiation on www.croatia.hr.
You are obiouly most flexible if you rent-a-car, and that is basically your only option if you want to stay away from the buses. Personally I would rather stay in small hotels tahn in sobe. If you stay in sobe be ver carefull you are clear with the onwer in advance about their exact location and price. If you want go to Kraow the easiest way would be to depart from Zagreb either by train or by plane.

HAve a nice trip.
