I am trvelling with three friends from Lubliana to Pula to catch a ferry to Korcula.
I want to stay somewhere in Istria that is unique, historic, not very touristy and very Hrvatska.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Answer Good day to you too Pratt!
It always good to see that US tourists are coming to Croatia. In my humble opinion not many Americans know about its beauty.
Tourist promotion aside :), let me try to answer your question. As far as I know there are no direct ferry lines from Pula to Korcula. The main ferry service runs from Rijeka to Dubrovnik and its atops at Korcula on the way.
If you are looking for something special in Istria I would suggest staying away from the Istrian coast. The place is crowded during summer months. For something unique and historic I would suggest Motovun, small, fully preserved Medieval town in central Istra or any of the surrounding hamlets. If you long for seaside, its only an hour or so away by bus.
