Croatia - backpacking in croatia

Question
Hi, I was just wondering about the safety of backpacking in Croatia. My friend and I are 21 female students and wanted to go somewhere different. I have heard amazing things about Croatia, and been told that as it is still quite undiscovered by the English tourists that it is somewhere i should go. What do you recommend as I would like to go somewhere this year that isn't touristy? Is it going to be safe for two girls travelling alone? Thank you Kate

Answer
I believe itīs much safer then in UK...we donīt have much of a crime here.If youīre looking for a quite places try visiting Osijek, Djakovo, Porec, Pula, Imotski, Opatija, Rovinj, Varazdin, Ston or maybe some of the islands (Hvar, Islands of Kornati, Islands of Brijuni, Vis, Korcula, Mljet...).
