Dear Vedran, Is there any ferry or boat transportation from Venice to Rovinj in mid-October ( Oct.13th ). I also want to take the ferry from Rijeka to Dubrovnik, leaving on Oct.16th or 17th with a stopover at Hvar or Korcula for three days. Do I purchase a ticket all the way or just to Hvar and then take a local ferry to Dubrovnik. I want to book a cabin for the overnight portion ( Rijeka to Split ) but am having trouble doing so on Jadrolinija's website. Any suggestions?  Also, is Korcula a quieter and more peaceful island than Hvar and which do you prefer. Thanks !!  Ken Benjamin

Dear Ken,
The ferry line Rijeka Dubrovnik is main coastal ferry service. You can get a ticket to Hvar or Korcula and then proceed to Dubrovnik later. I don't think Jadrolinija offers on-line ticket sales, but you will have absolutely no problem buying a cabin ticket in mid October even 5 minutes before the ferry leaves bacause that is off season period. With regard to choosing between Hvar na Korcula it's a tough call, both are beautiful and very peaceful at that time of the year. I'd say Hvar simply because I've been there myself more often but you won't make a mistake if you choose either.
