QuestionHello,
Greetings from Singapore. Will be viaiting your beautiful country in May.Arrive in Split on 13 may and wish to take a ferry to Hvar. Can you give me some ferry info ..what is the earliest departure.I arrive in Split at0700hr by ferry from Ancona.I only have one night and the next day to go to Dubrovnik.Shall I stay over night or return to Split by the last ferry and the next day catch a bus to dubrovnik. If I stay then are there any ferry that goes to dubrovnik on 14 may and how long will the journey takes.Hope you can give me advise which way will be better. Another option for me is to stay a night in Split and do a day trip to Trogir which I heard is not to be miss.I then can stay a night there and next day make ny way back to Split for my bus to Dubrovnik. Is it convenient to take bus to Trogir to and fro or I may just stay in Split (less hassel of carrying luggage to and fro) and do just a day trip to Trogir.Hope to hear from you soon and thanks in advance.
Regards,
florence
AnswerDear Florence,
for details on ferry and hydrofoil service check out the web page of the national maritime company at www.jadrolinija.hr (it has an english version). Regarding bus service, there are buses going from Split to Dubrovnik almost every hour. Since Trogr is about 30 minutes away from Split i suggest you stay at Split. You can get a good deal on accommodation if you deal with old ladies that usually hang around bus terminal shouting "sobe" (it means rooms in Croatian).
Have a nice trip and enjoy your stay.
