Crochet/Crochet

Question
I am just leaning the art and do not understand what sp means.

Answer
Hi,
sp means space, it's usually a space you've created by skipping one or more stitches.
For example, your first row might be all single crochet.  In the second row you might double in the second stitch, ch 1 and skip the next stitch, then double in the next stitch.  In the third row, you might put your doubles in the space (sp) created by your ch1, skip 1.
Hope that helps,  Jane
