Question
QUESTION: I am trying to make a baby blanket.  Sor far I have:
Ch 123.
Row 1 (Right side):  Sc in back ridge of second ch from hook and each ch across:  122 sc.
Row 2:  Ch 1, turn; skip first sc, (sc, ch 2, hdc) in next sc, *skip next sc, (sc, ch 2, hdc) in next sc; repeat from * across to last 2 sc, skip next sc, sc in last sc:  61 sc and 60 ch-2 sps.

All that is fine, and looks fine.  Then comes the part I don’t get:
Row 3:  Ch 1, turn; working behind ch-2 sps, 2 sc in each sc across:  122 sc.
What does it mean to work “behind”?

ANSWER: Hi, Amy!  When you ch 1, and turn, just bend the row your working on towards you a little bit. locate the ch 2 you made in row 2, just beneath that is a sc. That's where the 2 sc's go. Just do that all the way across, and it will be fine! You're just working in the top of row 2, in all those sc's you just made!

QUESTION: Thank you, Bea.  Hope you are really patient :-) !  You say I'm working in the top of Row 2,  so am I just supposed to do the 2 sc's in the sc, skip the hdc, skip the ch 2 (that I did in Row 2)?  How does "behind" figure into that?  Thank you, thank you.

Answer
Let me see if I can clarify! It says 2 sc's in each sc, but working behind the chain 2's. So, you'll work the 2sc in each sc as you normally would, but instead of working inside the ch 2 loop, you'll fold it towards you and do 2 sc's in the sc's "behind", so that the ch 2 loop's remain unworked. I am assuming the hdc will be skipped. In Summary: Row 3... Ch 1, turn. bend ch 2 towards you & 2 sc's in the sc behind the ch 2, 2 sc's in next sc as normal, and repeat across.
Is this any more clear? I hope it helps!
