Question
QUESTION: This is my first one. I have mastered the changing colors, and I am using the yarn bobbins.  I have done my first row and have now turned to the WS. Now I am confused. Do I now use new strands of color on this side and pull them through to the WS when I am finished, or do I work them through to the RS now and follow the graph & then work them back through after I turn again

ANSWER: Hey, Rita! You will work the WS exactly the same way you worked the previous RS row. The new color will be worked on the wrong side.

Hope this helps,  Bea

QUESTION: I'm sorry, I am still confused!!  I am doing a baby afghan, X,Y,Z, all in different colors on a different color background, 71 sc, across. Now that I am on the other side, the WS, the bobbins are on my side, the WS.  How do I bring them up to crochet across? Am I leaving a is it called a floater line?  Can you tell me how you would do this?  This is Vanna White's Nursery Sampler.  I have made about 50 afghans, but never using a graph and I feel so stupid.  Some books have said to use your left hand and without turning, crochet from left to right but that is going to be impossible for me.  HELP!!  When you say do it exactly the same as the other side, am I using new bobbins hanging on the RS? so that now I have bobbins hanging on both sides?

Answer

I tried bobbin lace years ago, and found it to be too cumbersome. I just didn't like messing with all those heavy bobbins hanging off my work! So, I know almost nothing about bobbin crochet. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

Best Wishes,  Bea
