Answer
Hi Mary,

Row 2:  Normally to begin a row of dc, you make a turning chain of 3 chains, this counts as your first double.  In this case you are going to make that first double followed by a chain 2.  So you chain a total of 5.  The first 3 of those 5 count as the double.  Does that make sense?

After the chain 5, you sc in the next chain 5 space, make 5 trebles all in the next single, single in the next chain 5 space, and chain 5.

BTW: If you're not familiar with a row count, at the end of round 2 it says "114 sts and 17 sps."  This tells you that in round 2 you should have a total of 114 stitches and 17 spaces.  I've answered a lot of questions lately by people confused by the row count at the end of the round.  They think it's more instructions for the round and don't have a clue where to put them.  It's just a recap, so that you can check your round before you go on to the next round.
