Question
I am  making a pattern that is strictly single crochet. When it instructs you to 6 sc in the sc  across then 2 sc in the next sc ( 40) ecetra. for some reason or other i am always short 2 to 3 stitches . I start over again counting my stitches and the same thing still happens. And I am following the instuctions as given. Could you please help me figure this out before I give up. Thank You

Answer
Joyce:

When you end the previous row, is the count right? also how does it begin? remember to count the 1st stitch as one of the stitches.

If the row before it is off. all the following will also be off.

Hope this helps, should you need anything assistance, please let me know.

Happy hooking
