QuestionI am crocheting some bears for the mother bear project and I would like to add a crochet skirt to some of the bears. I don't have a pattern and don't know where to begin. You can see the bears at
http://www.motherbearproject.org/ They have several pictures of bears with skirts. But when I contacted them to find out how to add the skirts no one could answer my question. Do you have any suggestions?
AnswerShannon:
What a great organization.
To answer your question, you can use any of the edge patterns and just increase the rows to make a longer skirt. If the clothing is not removable. Determine the waist of the bear and using the exposed loop and add it there, going all around the bear. Then build your skirt from there.
I do hope this helps. I may need to look into this organization and make some to donate.
Anything else I can do, please let me know.
Happy Hooking
