About Marla
Expertise
I have crocheted many doilies, I enjoy working with crochet thread. I have crocheted numerous afghans. But I have little to no experience in hairpin lace, or the afghan stitch. If you have a question pertaining to a pattern in a magazine, book or leaflet, please include the name and # of it, and the page or pattern #. There is a slight possibility I may have that pattern, and can refer to it. Although I have crocheted sweaters and slippers,I don't feel I have done enough of them to really give good advice as to assembling the pieces, but can give advice on the type of stitches.

Experience
I have been a crocheter for almost 30 years.

Question
QUESTION: I am making a doily from a book called "Floral Crochet" on page 6 called "Daffodil Vanity Set" on the large doily, I've finished the filet graph but now that I've reached the last part...End I am lost! I have the conversion chart in the book too, but when I am reading the pattern I get too confused! I was hoping if you have this pattern if maybe you can just send me that last part of the pattern in the US version? if you don't have the book, I have scanned it into a file & can send it in an email if that would help?
This is the first time I had such a problem, and I really hope you can help.
Thank you so much for your time & expertise.

ANSWER: Hi Darlene!
Thanks for asking! I am sorry, but I do not have that book. I do have one with the same title, but is a Leisure Arts Leaflet, and doesn't have filet. If you send me the information, I will look at it and let you know if I can figure it out also. Today I have to use the library computer since I am having a little difficulty with mine. Hopefully it is minor, and I can get to back to you soon on my own. If you don't hear from me soon, that is why. Sorry I don't have the book, but it certainly sounds like it would have been one I would have bought if I saw it. Hope to hear form you soon!

QUESTION: Marla, Thank you for your response. I feel silly now because as I read further in the pattern I realized it was in the USA version all along. When I made the first part changing the trc to dc I actually made the rest of it unworkable. I saved the first part for future use & started it over again. I'm sorry for wasting your time.
Thanks again Darlene

Answer
Hi Darlene!
Thanks for writing back. You DID NOT waste my time! I am glad you were able to figure out what was wrong. I enjoy hearing form other crocheters because I don't get to talk shop much with people. Only one of my sisters is into needlecraft, and that is sewing, knitting and tatting (which I know very little, if any about), and not crochet. And my mom, who used to crochet in her younger years, is really only interested in not much more that double crocheting hats and afghans.
Feel free to ask me again if you run into any problems. Good luck with your filet!

Marla
