Crochet/wrong side, right side

QuestionQUESTION: hi! im just about to crochet a bag from this 'pattern' on
http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17182 but im really confused. what does right side and wrong side mean? do i crochet the right side in, say, the right loop of the chain, then the wrong side in the left loop? or does it mean something entirely differently? and is there something wrong with the pattern? because it starts with a chain of 'multiple of 7 plus 6' and then in step 3, it asks for groups of 7 stitches (from * to *) plus 4.. which isn't the same! help please, i really would like to get on with this bag coz it's for my mother. thanks a whole lot!
ANSWER: Sonya:
Each pattern can define what will be the right side, and what will be the wrong side. Each odd row will be considered right side, all even rows are considered wrong side.
Multiple of 7 plus 6 has to do with the "pattern" of the pattern. This "pattern" is in multiples of 7 chains, then adding 6 chains more to the size that it makes.
I am sorry, but I don't understand this part of your request"and then in step 3, it asks for groups of 7 stitches (from * to *) plus 4.. which isn't the same! help please" I don't see what you are referring too, when I read the pattern.
Please let me know if there is any additional help I can give.
Thanks and happy hooking

QUESTION: hi ed, thanks for the advice.
what i basically want to know is, how come there's a difference between the right and wrong side if im basically just going back and forth along the foundation chain?
sorry for being so tedious!
AnswerSonya:
Please don't feel you are being tedious, I will help you with anything you may need.
Each pattern may at times has it's own way of describing things. technically each piece we make has a right and wrong side. In this pattern wrong and right is important because of the "pattern" is making. Yes I do agree with you, why not just do the row count, but in this pattern, for it to come out correctly, there is a right and wrong side to it.
This is a great pattern, I may have to add it to my collection of patterns I have.
Hope this answers your questions. Don't hesitate to e-mail should you need any assistance at all
