Question
I'm trying to make a columns and lace baby blanket and I'm having trouble understanding the pattern. At the end of the first row it says turn. 37 ch - 3 sps. I don't know how to do spaces and this really confused me. Can you please help me?

Answer
If the "37 ch -3 sps" is after the turn instructions, there is nothing more that you need to do for the row.  This looks to be a "recap" of the row.  This helps you double check that you've got the right amount of stitches in the row.
You evidently did a certain number of stitches, chained 3 and skipped one or more spaces, then did more stitches, etc.  If you go back and count the chain 3 spaces, you should have 37 of them.
