Starting at center with beauty pink, ch 8, join with sl st toform ring.  lst rnd:  16 sc in ring  Join to first sc  2nd rnd:  Sc in same place as sl st, *ch 3, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc.  Repeat from *around, join (8 loops)  3rd rnd:  In each loop around make sc, half dc, 3 dc, half dc, and sc.  Join  4th rnd:  *Ch 3, sc between next 2 petals.  Repeat from * around, join   5th rnd:  In each loop around make sc, half dc, 5 dc, half dc and sc.  6th to 13th rnds incl:  Repeat 4th and 5th rnds alternately, making 1 ch more on each loop rnd and 1 dc more on each petal rnd (ch-7 loops on 12th rnd and 9dc in petals on 13th rnd).
Break off at end of 13th rnd.

Second motif  Work as for first motif until rosette has been completed.

Would apprecaite anything you can help me with.  Thanks so much for everything.

Answer
Hi again Lydia! OK, so you'll chain 8, then join the ends of the ch together with a slip stitch. Now you have a circle/ring to work in.
Stick your hook through the ring, draw up a loop, and make a single crochet, do this 15 more times, to equal 16 single crochets.  Make sure they are spaced evenly around the ring, then join tothe first sc you made, with a slip stitch.Row 2: make another sc in the same slip stitch, *ch 3, skip the next sc and sc in the next sc*, repeat everything between the *'s all the way around, join with a sl st to the that first sc on row 1. You now have 8 ch3 loops.the third row will be making small flowers in the ch 3 loops.  If you need further help, just let me know!

I consider myself an expert in the field of hand crochet. I have been crocheting for 45 years. I can answer most question on the differnt stitches, as well as the methods used to create speciality items. The art of crochet, after 2 decades of being out of fashion, is enjoying a modest come back. I want to help those newcomers looking for a little/lot of help to get started. Once they are comfortable with the process, they can relax & begin to create the heirlooms of tomorrow.
