Question
Please help me to understand what they are asking me to do here. It's for a sweater jacket pattern # LM0271 coats and clark Crochet Belted Jacket  
Sleeve:Ch 29 Work in Pat same as back over 28 sts shaping sides by increasing 1 st each end of 3rd row, then every right side row until there are 54 sts working added sts into pat.
I know it seems easy, but my mind is just comprehending what I need to do. Please help.

Hey, Anna!  I really don't like patterns written like this! They assume everyone is an expert. OK, you'll ch 29, then using the directions for making the back, just follow the pattern,working in those 29 chains, til you get to the next to last stitch (28th)As you go along, you'll add 1 stitch at the beginning & the end of row 3. Now, At stitch 29, you'll start working down the side of the sleeve.  The right side of the sleeve is the side that faces you, as you work. When you turn, you're working on the back/wrong side. So, you'll be adding stitches at the beginning and end of every right side row, or simply put, every other row, starting with the first row down the sleeve. Once the sleeve is 54 stitches wide you can continue with the sleeve instructions.
