Crochet/Uneven / ends roll up

Question
I'm a novice at best.  I know the simple crochet stitches and enjoy making afghans and baby blankets.  They generally look pretty good, but it seems that the corners want to roll up or turn up and sometimes my rows are uneven.  Generally, I'm using a simple stitch, such as a dc so I really don't know where I'm going wrong.
Please help!!!

Answer
You may not be doing anything wrong.  Simple rows of single crochets especially will roll or curl on the corners.  Many patterns will add a border to help tame the curl.
One thing you could check is your gauge.  Are you getting the number of stitches per inch called for in the gauge of the pattern?  You might be working a little tight which will increase the curl.  If you're getting more stitches per inch than the gauge stated, you can try relaxing while making the stitches, or going to a larger sized hook.
