About Marla
Expertise
I have crocheted many doilies, I enjoy working with crochet thread. I have crocheted numerous afghans. But I have little to no experience in hairpin lace, or the afghan stitch. If you have a question pertaining to a pattern in a magazine, book or leaflet, please include the name and # of it, and the page or pattern #. There is a slight possibility I may have that pattern, and can refer to it. Although I have crocheted sweaters and slippers,I don't feel I have done enough of them to really give good advice as to assembling the pieces, but can give advice on the type of stitches.

Experience
I have been a crocheter for almost 30 years.

Crochet - Afghan Pattern

Question
QUESTION: About 30 years ago I crocheted an afghan.  It started with 2 circles that were surrounded by stitches to make a rectangle.  The afghan consisted of many rectangles that were sewn together.  I found the original pattern in one of those supermarket magazines but have since lost it.  Have you seen such a pattern?

ANSWER: Hi Lenore!
I am back. I haven't had much luck. I know it has been a long time since you got the magazine, but do you remember if it was a monthly magazine, like "Good Housekeeping" or was it a specialty magazine, like one I have several issues of was called "Afghans" This will help me narrow my search. Thanks!

QUESTION: I thin it was like a Family Circle or one of those. i don't think it was specifically afghans. I really appreciate your efforts.

Answer
Hi Lenore!
I am back again. I am sorry, but so far I haven't found a pattern like you described. All I have been able to find are blocks with only one circle in them. If I do find anything like that, I'll  let you know. Occasionally some magazines will have special issues of patterns that have appeared in past magazines. Good luck!
