Question
I am making Blushing Grannies Crochet Throw by www.redheart.com. This is my 1st attempt at crochet. I made the  round 1 and 2 no problem. but round three asks Ch1, sc in same sc as joining, I got that but the next instructions are confusing me. *2 sc in next ch-4 sp. What does ch-4 sp mean?

Answer
Hi Charlene!
Thanks for asking! Welcome to crochet! It's my favorite hobby. Now, in round 2, you made a sc, then ch 4 then a sc. Those ch 4's between the  sc's are what they mean by the ch-4 space. I hope this answers your question. Good luck with your throw! It is very pretty. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!

Expertise

I have crocheted many doilies, I enjoy working with crochet thread. I have crocheted numerous afghans. But I have little to no experience in the afghan stitch, or hairpin lace. If you have a question pertaining to a pattern in a magazine, book or leaflet, please include the name and # of it, and the page or pattern #. There is a slight possibility I may have that pattern, and can refer to it. Nearly all of my crochet magazines, leaflests, etc are over 5 years old. Many are from the 80's and before. Although I have crocheted sweaters and slippers,I don't feel I have done enough of them to really give good advice as to assembling the pieces, but can give advice on the type of stitches.

Experience

I have been a crocheter for over 30 years.
