Crochet/Can't understand afghan pattern

Question
QUESTION: Hello,
I'm trying to make a afghan called 'Then and Now', and I'm having a time with understanding the pattern. It is a v stitch ripple afghan and I'm not sure if by the 2 rows it has I should just follow both rows or only row 2?
My hardest part understanding the pattern is where the peaks are in the second row it has some v stitches and single dc's, then at the peak it says 1 dc with 1 chain inbetween each 3 dc's plus 1 dc.
To me as the rows continue, must I add more stitches going up to the peak and going down from the peak? Or just repeat the stitches in row 2?
I've done 1 ripple afghan but none like this one, I'd appreciate any help so I can make the afghan, I really like to make it.
Thank you,

ANSWER: Hi Yolanda,
I had one of those afghans hanging around for the longest time and just recently my daughter took it home with her.  I looked through my old afghan patterns and found one diagonal but I doubt it's the same one you're working on.

Could you possibly send me the instructions, or perhaps a link to the pattern on the internet.  I'll be able to help you better if I have the actual instructions.  Or do you have the capabilities of scanning the pattern into your computer and send it to me as an attachment?

I hope to hear from you and I hope I can help you.

QUESTION: Hello Patricia,
I'm not sure where to send the pattern link, I did send it back from the email I got from you?
I'll try here it's from Bernats website February 2010, they call it Eight color afghan.
Please let me know if you find it, I had a time finding it to.
Yolanda

Answer
Yolanda,
I cannot find the pattern on the Bernat website, either under Then and Now or Eight Color Afghan.   Then and Now seems to a patten book that you purchase.  I don't see anything under Eight Color Afghan.
You can't reply to this e-mail.  It'll just reply to AllExperts.
If you can, send it to me at www.patriciap@eatel.net

Expertise

Traditional Crochet and Filet Crochet (not clothes) I do more thread crochet than yarn.

Experience

I have been crocheting for over 50 years. As a child growing up in New Orleans, LA, I had aunts and older cousins who taught me, but now they are all gone and sadly, there is no one who crochets in my area. I hope to be able to meet fellow crocheters through this website, and I'd be delighted if I could help someone answer a question. I'm sure I'll be asking my share, also. I specifically enjoy doilies and afghans. I really like designing filet crochet. I don't make clothes, other than hats and scarves.

Education/Credentials
I learned as a child in the 50's from aunts and older cousins.
