Question
Is there a mathematical formula for increasing the size of a garment
when it is only supplied in one size?

Answer
Antonette:

Thanks for the question.

Unfortunately no. When a pattern in made in one size, the only way to make it larger is to increase the needle size, but that is only a small change. If the piece is simple, you can add more stitches, and expand it. Doing that can be a challenge, and you would really need to make sure to know the pattern well so to know where is would be the best place to make those increases.

I am sorry I was of no help. Any assistance you may need, please let me know.
