Question
Hi Ed,

Maybe I have bitten off more then I can chew! I have just started an afghan. The beginning of the second row says to: "dc in next sc, (skip next 2sc, work Puff St in next sc) twice" - so far so good -  but then, "working behind both Puff Sts, dc in first 2 skipped sc, * skip next 2 sc, work Puff St in next sc, working behind last 2 Puff Sts made, dc in next 2 skipped sc; repeat from * acrcoss . . ." etc. I have NO idea what to do and can't seem to visualize what this is supposed to look like. The pattern is a Terry Kimbrough "Cable Puff and Lace" baby afghan. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Answer
Sue:

Thanks for the question.

The stitch you create in this pattern is a bit elevated "puffy". To keep the integrity and the look, they are instructing that the stitches be done behind the "puff". So when you get to the puff, just fold it over so you can access the skipped SC and then work them like the pattern states. Its a bit ackward, but the end result will be beautiful.

If you need any assistance, please let me know.

Happy hooking

Ed
