Crochet/Size 2 Nylon thread

Question
I was given a large amount of OMEGA No.2 Nylon thread. I cannot find any patterns anywhere that use this size of Nylon thread. Do you know where I might find some?

Answer
Hi Christine!
Thanks for asking! I’m sorry, but I’m not familiar with that type of thread. But I did a little searching and found this website: http://creativeyarnsource.com/nylon_thread_creations.html You may also want to go to its home page. This site has pictures of finished projects and may give you some ideas. About all I can suggest is to search the web, if you haven’t already.  You should be able to do most anything with the thread, but need to take into consideration that due to its thickness, the size of the finished product will be different than what the pattern states.

I’m sorry I can’t be of any help. Good luck in finding something you can use.

Expertise

I have crocheted many doilies, I enjoy working with crochet thread. I have crocheted numerous afghans. But I have little to no experience in the afghan stitch, or hairpin lace. If you have a question pertaining to a pattern in a magazine, book or leaflet, please include the name and # of it, and the page or pattern #. There is a slight possibility I may have that pattern, and can refer to it. Nearly all of my crochet magazines, leaflests, etc are over 5 years old. Many are from the 80's and before. Although I have crocheted sweaters and slippers,I don't feel I have done enough of them to really give good advice as to assembling the pieces, but can give advice on the type of stitches.
