Crochet/crocheted doll pattern

Question
Hello, I would like to find a pattern for a bed doll. I had this pattern and made many of these bed dolls back in the 1970's then I let someone borrow the pattern and never got it back, they moved away.  It was for a eleven and half inch doll  The dress was long and old fashioned with a bonnet to match. It also called for a round foam rubber pillow that you would put tiny slits in so you could stick her feet in it and pull the bottom of the dress over the pillow and she could stand on a bed or dresser. I can't remember what company put out the pattern. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Sally

Answer
Hey, Sally! That sounds like the victorian doll that was also an embroidery and pillow case pattern, as well. I don't recall the name of that particular doll, so it would be difficult, if not impossible, to locate it without a company name, or doll name. MY only suggestion would be to go to anniesattic.com because she has more doll patterns than anyplace I know of. They are mostly revamped, vintage patterns, and you might just find your doll there.
Best of Luck,
Bea

I consider myself an expert in the field of hand crochet. I have been crocheting for 45 years. I can answer most question on the differnt stitches, as well as the methods used to create speciality items. The art of crochet, after 2 decades of being out of fashion, is enjoying a modest come back. I want to help those newcomers looking for a little/lot of help to get started. Once they are comfortable with the process, they can relax & begin to create the heirlooms of tomorrow.
