Question
I want to enlarge this christening gown for my six month old grand daughter how is it possible without using a thicker cotton thread and a much larger hook. Thanks

Answer
Catherine:

Thanks for the question.

I do have a question. Do you want to enlarge the bodice? or the length? I am not familiar with this pattern. I do make christening gowns (those are my favorites).

if its the bodice, then you can enlarge the bodice, and make a few changes to the beginning of the skirt part to accommodate the pattern. if its the length, then you can see where the repeats are and just double the repeat (depending on how much longer you need it) and that can then take care of that.

Without knowing the pattern or the instructions, its kind of hard to give you some insight on where you can make the changes. Changing the thread and hook will not really give you enough enlargement.

Hope this at least gave you some insight. Should you need assistance, please let me know.

Happy hooking
