I have crochet a shawl for my friend. On the shawl I would like to crochet her name on it. I have being searching online for for quite sometime, but couldn't get it.

There are many ways you can place the name on a item.

If the shawl has single crochet, you can cross stitch the name using one sc per square.

I do hope this helps you out. When I want to personalize my shawl for friends, I just make a tag that has their name and a short message, and sew it like a clothing label.
