Question
I would like to crochet the Xian Kimono Jacket from Naturally Caron. However, I cannot find a cast on number. I am not new to crochet, but I cannot this one out. Where do I begin. I feel somewhat ridiculous asking this question. It's pretty, I'd like to make it. Help. Thank you

I'm a bit confused by your question. I'm a crocheter and know virtually nothing about knitting. However I thought that "cast on" is a knitting term. I assume you mean how long to make the beginning chain.
I found the pattern online through caron.com and you're right. The instructions do not say how long to make the foundation chain when you are starting the back, which is the first section you make. I suggest you e-mail Caron.com and ask for clarification. I found this address under Contact Customer Service.
