Question
I am making a blanket for my niece and I am on the border, and I am confused. lol.  I got past the first round but am stuck on the second round, Im not sure what to do. I know all the abbreviations so I know how to read the pattern Im just not sure what it means exactly so if you could help me understand what im supposed to do that would be wonderful!! Heres the pattern :

Rnd 1: (im already done with)
Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st around, placing 5 dc in each corner st, join with slip st to top of ch-3

Rnd 2: (need help!!)
Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1), (dc, ch1) in each st around, join with slip st to 3rd ch of ch-4

Rnd 3: (need help)
Ch 4 (counts as sc and ch-3) (sc, ch 3) in each ch-space around, join with slip st to first ch. fasten off

Answer
Laken:

Thanks for the question and slight delay in answering.

rnd 2: the chain four, counts as a dc (normally done with a chain 3) so the extra chain is to replace the dc, ch1 sequence. So in each stitch you will do a double crochet, then a chain one, on the next stitch you will do a double crochet and a chain 1.... etc etc. this will give you a open design with the chain one spaces.

rnd3: This is the same, but now you are doing sc, then to follow with chain 3, so its the same thing, but just with sc, and the chain 3.

Hope that helped. Should you need any assistance, please let me know.

Happy Hooking
