I am on the last round (7) of P.Kristoffrsens rings for baby. I cannot get beyond very beggining. After the db cl is states "ch 6 sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 3 sl st in 3rd....when I do this it just looks ridiculous. The stich is not sitting ontop of the cluster, it is just hanging off to the side. I can usually work through and eventually get it right. I cannot this time. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you

Just to make sure. So there is a chain 6, then at the 3rd chain, you do a slst, then do a chain 3, then a slst on the next chain 3 (that will put you back at the beginning of the chain 6?

If you crochet tight, this can also cause it. In the pattern picture, is it right on the center of the cluster? Try adding 2 more chains, and instead of slst in ch3 do ch4, and see if that is more to what you want it to look.
