Crochet/DESIGN ON AFGHAN

Question
I AM MAKING A AFGHAN IN THE AFGHAN STITCH THAT WILL MEASURE  66 X 76 INCHES.
I HAVE MADE A DESIGN ON MY PATTERN MAKER ON A 14 COUNT GRAPH THAT MEASURES 277 X 300 STITCHES.
HOW DO I FIGURE OUT IF THE DESIGN WILL FIT THE AFGHAN?
THANK YOU, JAYNE

Answer
You will need to make a gauge of 4 x 4 inches in afghan stitch with the yarn you plan on using. You should be able to determine the number of stitches/inch from the gauge. Use that to determine the number of stitches across, and how many rows you need to complete the 66 x 76 inch afghan. If it is not 277 stitches across, and 300 rows then you will need to add a border or something.

Hope this helps.
