Question
Hi,

I'm trying to crochet a pair of baby bootees but am a bit confused by the pattern, when I get to the toe part it reads as - 1st row-3ch, miss st at base of of ch, (tr2tog over next 2 sts) 8 times, turn.
2nd row-3ch, mis st at base of ch, (tr2tog over next 2 sts) 4 times, turn.
Next round-2ch (counts as 1st htr), miss st at base of ch, 1 htr into each of next 4 sts, 2htr into 1st row end, 1 htr into next row end, 1htr into each st, 1htr into next row end, 2htr into last row end, join with a ss into 2nd of 2ch.
The first and second row of this part is fine but when it gets to part about row ends I'm not sure waht it means and am getting confused.  Can you help at all?
Kind regards
Jo

Answer
Jo Phillips:

You should have a series of end row at this stage. The pattern is stating, that when you reach those point (end of a row from previous pattern row, how you going to begin from that point on. You should have 3 row ends to work with ( that this set of instruction are asking for)

What this is doing is closing in the end rows so you are closing off the toe of the booties.

Hopefully this will help, should you need any assistance, please let me know

Happy Hooking
