Crochet/Reading a pattern
Expert: Ed Matos - 3/5/2011
QuestionI am working on a supposed to be easy one piece slipper. It starts off really well but when I get to the instructions for the 2-tr cluster and the 3-tr cluster my slipper starts to look like a clown shoe. It was my understading that the instructions were for the same stitch for the clusters and that I did two treble clusters in one stitch and 3 treble clusters in one stitch. Question is am I correct or would it be a crochet in each stitch and then combined into a cluster?

Thanks for the question.
It all depends how the pattern states it. There is some clusters you do on each stitch, holding back the last loop, and then completing by going in all the loops you have on the hook.
This one is hard to answer, since I don't have the pattern to be able to answer it correctly.
Read the instructions, most of the time there are right at the beginning of the pattern, that will state how to handle the clusters, at times is at the row where the first cluster is created.
Hopefully this will help. Should you need any assistance, please let me know.
Happy hooking
