Crochet/Crayfish Cord crochet instructions

Question
I am working on a pattern that gives a very brief picture description  of the "Crayfish Cord" used as a vine for my tablecloth I am making.  Unfortunately I have about pulled my hair out trying to figure out how it is done.  Can you please give me any help or better instructions? I have searched the Internet and cannot even find a stitch of this name.

Answer
Hi Donna!
Thanks for asking. I have never heard of the crayfish cord. However… I went on line and looked at another help website and someone said it was in the “Magic Crochet” magazine, Feb 1997. I do have that magazine and am looking at the instructions right now. Is that where you got it? Let me know, and meanwhile I will try to figure this out. I have some commitments going on right now, so it may be a few days before I can figure out the “pictorial instructions”. I’m pretty sure I can figure it out. It may just take some experimentation. The picture should come with written instructions. Anyway, let me know if these are the same instructions.

Expertise

I have crocheted many doilies, I enjoy working with crochet thread. I have crocheted numerous afghans. But I have little to no experience in the afghan stitch, or hairpin lace. If you have a question pertaining to a pattern in a magazine, book or leaflet, please include the name and # of it, and the page or pattern #. There is a slight possibility I may have that pattern, and can refer to it. Nearly all of my crochet magazines, leaflests, etc are over 5 years old. Many are from the 80's and before. Although I have crocheted sweaters and slippers,I don't feel I have done enough of them to really give good advice as to assembling the pieces, but can give advice on the type of stitches.

Experience

I have been a crocheter for over 30 years.
