Question
i am a beginner, and am trying to make a prayer shawl. i cast on 32 and crocet to the end , that is where i have the problem. i know you cast on a extra stitch and then turn the article, do you cast on another one once you have turned it., or do you just insert hook in to closes stitch, i seem to decrease as i go along and my corners are not square, they end up rounded, what am i doing wrong.

Thanks for the question

Normally an increase is done at the beginning. It could be that a extra stitch is added to the first stitch ( chain 3 turn, 2 dc on first stitch, etc) Also read at the beginning of the pattern, if the increase is to be done in a specific way, it will address it there, or at the first row that the increase is done.

Hopefully this helped. Should you need any assistance, please let me know.

Happy Hooking
