Crochet/fan motif

Question
I am looking for a pattern to make a fan shape. I have looked everywhere i can on the internet and have not found one.  Can anyone help.

Answer
The basics of starting a fan shape is to chain 4. DC at least 6 DC in 1st chain created. The number of dc sts is determined by how large you want the fan to be. For example, I wanted to make a half circle for a shawl. If I add enough dc sts in the first set, I can create a half circle.

You just keep adding stitches when ever they are needed to keep the design looking the way you want it too - either flat or ruffled.

Hope this helps.
