Crochet/increase size of cap being crocheted

Question
Hi!  I am kind of new at crochet, and I took an adult's size cap and altered it to a kid's size by using a needle about 3 sizes smaller, and it's going well. HOWEVER, I am now in Rnd 18 and I wish to ENLARGE it somewhat;  it's too tight to continue as it is. I want to add about 10 more rows before adding a brim. Can you give me any ideas on gradually increasing the size? I am using a SC stitch throughout this cap.
THANKS!

Answer
If it is too tight, first go back a row or two to make it slightly bigger by adding a stitch or two on each round.

Try the hat on and see how many more stitches you need to make it the size you want. Divide that number of stitches by the number of rows you still have left. Add that many stitches evenly around the hat on each row to the end.

Hope this makes sense.
