Question My brother 34 years old,complaining of illnes for years,got sent home from doctors office with painkillers.
After severe weight loss and illnes my mother finally drove him to the mergency room,they operated the next morning,giving him a pouc on the stomach.
Telling him his intestins was inflamatoried.
After six month the intestins was laid back to his rectum.
Things went fine for a short while this summer he got a fistum(fistel) not sure of the spelling...?
It was so large they could only remove half,after 4 weeks he was in so much pain he again had to go to the emergency.
Coming in there he suffered low blood count and fever.
He is currently in the hospital where the doctors are taking tests,standing dumbstruck...his foot has swoolen up ?
Now tellling him he might have chrones...
What can I do?
he is devastaded and psycologically wrecked?

Answer Hi Anne,
Tell those dumbfounded doctors to do a ct scan! If he does have crohn's disease and it is not treated, it can cause death! I do not know why his foot is swollen, I am not aware this could happen with CD. But with all the other symptoms, sounds like Crohn's. Be sure to tell them to run that scan. He should not eat for 24 hours prior to the scan and has to drink Redi Cat.
