Question Odette. I started out with ulcertive coalitis in 1988 and now they call it crohns coalitis, I am having a flare up now and have just completed a remacade treatment, It doesnt seem to be helping so far. what would be the next step in controling this flare up. thanks Bill

It is not uncommon for Colitis to turn into Crohn's Disease. It appears you may have a combination of both since they call it Crohn's Colitis.
If you have only had 1 infusion, you should still have 2 to go, it should work. Please be sure that you ask your doctor for an immune supressent drug, that will help lenghten the life of the remicade.
Watch what you eat. Those of us with this disease can not eat like other folks. Foods and stress can bring on an attack. Should you need help on what foods to stay away from, let me know.
