Hello Charles,

I am so sorry that you are feeling poorly.  I also wanted to apologize for not responding sooner, but Hurricane Dennis prevented me from getting on the computer sooner.

It does sound like you have CD.  Are you on medications?  You should be on either Pentasa or Asacol.  Flagyl, and an immune supressant. You also should have been given an auto immune supressant while on the Remicade and after.

I can tell you what not to eat.  Fried foods, lettuce, cabbage, popcorn, pork, anything that is hard for normal people to digest is impossible for us and it causes an attack.

Are you feverish?  Blood in stools?

You really need a cT scan.  It is the very best way of diagnosing this disease. Blood work can not show inflamtion, it shows whether your white cells are up or down.  If down, that means you have an infection, not that you are inflamed.

I would really suggest you find a good GI.  Medical doctors can not help as they do not know enough about the diease.

Here is a site that may be able to help you find someone in your area.

www.ccfa.org

also, look in your newsgroups and search for alt.support.crohns-colitis.  There are folks from all over the world there so someone should be able to find someone in your area that is good.  I live in Florida, so I will do all I can to find someone.I hope I have been some help.

Best of health,
Odette                                                                       please try to help me i have seen many gi's and none of them are able to help me do you know anyone that can help me i live in ca,yes at times i have a fever and it feels like my guts are melting away or being tied up and pulled,or like constant digging, and the pain is all over my body from my waist up and into my brain please i ask you to help me my stools are not always the same in shape or color some times my stool looks shreaddid up and sometimes my stools are many small size, like a nickle sometimes black like tar and also like the color of clay on the yellowish side

Answer
Charles, did you go to the site I told you about yesterday?  Did you download the newsgroup I told you about?  If not, please do it because there are people from all over the world and someone is bound to be in your area.  In the meantime, I will go to those that I know to see if they can give me names.

Odette
