Cross Stitch/Cleaning Floss

Question
Tea has accidently spilt on my floss.  How do I clean the floss, so that I can proceed to complete cross stitching.  Please help.  Thanks.

If you are using regular DMC - you can wash it in the sink with a little ivory liquid and rinse several times. If you are using an overdyed thread, you can just rinse it with cold water. After rinising the thread, allow it to air dry. I hang my thread over a dowel to let it dry. It usually takes several hours for it to dry!

I hope this was helpful!
Happy Stitching!
