Question
I have a kit that has 18 count fabric in it. Can this be transfered onto 14 count aida fabric without problems?
Thanks.
Chris

Answer
Chris,

It won't be a problem. The finished piece will be larger on 14 count versus 18 count. For example, if your finished piece is 180 stitches wide, it will be almost 13 inches wide instead of 10. You probably won't run out of thread, but you might want to careful not to waste any.

Make sure to take divide your stitch count by 14. That will give you your finished stitch size. Then add at least 2 inches to each side (4 inches to both the height and width) to give you the size of the fabric you need to buy!

I wish you luck with your stitching. I am sure it will turn out beautifully.

Happy Stitching!
Kris
