Cross Stitch - removing markings from cross stitch

Expert: Vinette de Phillipe - 5/1/2008

Question
I'm finishing a Bucilla cross stitched baby quilt for a girlfriend. This is a stamped top. I've never worked with this before. How do I get the stamping out? I want to use a quilting pattern instead of their marks plus my friend didn't like all the design and did only the parts she liked, so there are some leftover markings. Thanks for your kind help.

Answer
HI Leslie,
I checked with another expert and found her suggestion was to wash the item in cool water on a gentle cycle and hope the blue marks come out.

I also did a search and found no other information.

THere is a possibility that a shop that sells cross stitch will have a better solution for you.

Sorry not to be of more help
