Question
I am going to

saramoon pattern and I am doing it on linen. I would like to do the pattern over 1 thread. The count on the linen is 28 stitches per inch. The pattern says it is 240w and 293h. I would like to know how to calculate the measurements, keeping in mind I am doing it over 1 thread Thank you Gail

Answer
Gail,

First, let me apologize for not answering you sooner. I have been a little under the weather.

To figure the fabric size, you simply divide the stitch count by the fabric count - 240/28 = 8.6 and 293/28 = 10.5

If you were going to work it over 2 on 28 count - then you will divide it by 14 - 240/14 = 17 and 293/14 = 21.

I hope I was helpful.

Happy Stitching!
Kris
